After crossing that bridge, it turns southeast, crossing the Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary and running behind local subdivisions. The trail turns southwest near the John Audubon home, paralleling Pawlings Road to the trailhead just south of Route 422, where it joins the Schuylkill River Trail. Trail users can easily loop back to the starting point by taking the Schuylkill River Trail west to Oaks, then going back north on the Perkiomen Trail.
