Tri-County Active Adult Center
More than 1,700 older adults visit the Tri-County Active Adult Center annually, with an average of 200 people coming through the center’s doors daily for activity, food, and friendship. The center served upwards of 18,000 daily hot lunches and provided 1,500 hours of exercise classes in 2019 alone. The center offers much of its programing free of charge, and any older adult can spend the day at the center for free while enjoying lunch and getting exercise. Walk & Bike Pottstown
With automobile infrastructure strained to the breaking point across the region, community leaders are looking for alternative models to reduce traffic and promote sustainable modes of transportation. Mission Kids Child Advocacy Center
At Mission Kids Child Advocacy Center, hope begins. Its mission is to achieve healing and justice for victims of child abuse, reducing any further trauma to children who have already experienced a traumatic event. Mission Kids provides a center for the team investigation of child abuse cases. Pottstown FARM
The Pottstown Farm & Artisan Regional Market (FARM) is an open-air market in downtown Pottstown providing access to fresh locally grown produce and hand-made artisan goods which opened in 2016. The FARM was started to help engage the business community with the community surrounding Pottstown. The featured farmers and artisans are self-producing and everything from the market is coming right from the ground to your table – the freshness cannot be beat and the education piece to the families throughout the community is amazing! Maternal and Child Health Consortium
Maternal and Child Health Consortium serves upwards of 6,000 individuals annually in the Greater Philadelphia area. Through the years, they have helped children and their families living in Pottstown get connected to the resources they need to thrive. A long-term Foundation partner, MCHC has received 21 grants from the Foundation totaling over $540,000 since 2006. MCHC's Healthy Start and Family Benefits programs serve low-income Pottstown area families with young children through evidence-based home-visiting education as well as enrollment assistance for health insurance and food benefits. Pottstown Area Regional Recreation Committee
For over a decade, the municipalities of The Pottstown Area Regional Recreation Committee have worked with the Regional Recreation Planner to partner with public and private funders to redevelop and expand the parks, trails and open spaces of the PARRC region. As of 2024, PARRC's region includes. in Montgomery County, the Borough of Pottstown, Douglass Township, Lower, Upper and West Pottsgrove, in Chester County, North and East Coventry, and in Berks County, Washington Township.
