Frequently Asked Questions

Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation is a community foundation serving residents within a 10-mile radius of Pottstown. The Foundation has a passionate, professional staff and a diverse Board of Directors with a wealth of knowledge of the community in which we serve. With years of expertise and roots in the Tri County Region, the Foundation can connect you to organizations within the community to help create long-term stability and plan for future growth.

While the core of the Foundations' portfolio, generated from the sale of PMMC in 2003, will always be dedicated to promoting health and wellness, new funds will allow us to expand our grantmaking to meet a wide spectrum of community needs.

A planned gift makes your generosity endure and is a gift that costs you nothing in your lifetime. These gifts are revocable, simple, and flexible. These types of gifts include Bequests, Charitable Remainder Unitrusts, Charitable Remainder Annuity Trusts, Retirement Assets, Appreciated Securities, Life Insurance and Charitable Lead Trusts.

Planned gifts should be rewarding to you and serve to leave a legacy about who you are and what you care about. These kinds of gifts are easier to arrange than most people realize. The Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation is excited to offer this planned giving opportunity and financial tools that enable you to wisely plan a gift to benefit the entire community - including you.

Since its inception in 2003, PAHWF has proven to be credible stewards of Foundation assets in the amount of $80 million, as well as pension plan assets of $56 million.

Anyone can be a donor and contribute a gift large or small. Donors can be individuals, families, corporations, foundations or nonprofits. You don't have to be rich to be generous, just have a giving heart.
