The Althouse Arboretum was made possible through a donation of 1.6 acre lot with a historic house and open structure by the Hilsee Family and a unique agreement between GreenAllies and Upper Pottsgrove Township. While a majority of the land is owned by the township, GreenAllies manages the 17 acres of open space. A rare and unique opportunity exists with this 17 acre open space property to promote environmental preservation and education for an entire community and beyond. It has recently been connected to Sussel Park and Prout Farm, two other large open space lands to increase our program options while preserving additional acreage.
