Calling all educators! The Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation’s 2015 Healthy Bodies Healthy Minds Institute (HBHMI) is August 4 and 5 at The Hill School.
This annual, two-day event nurtures the interdisciplinary roles of school personnel in the adoption of physical activity as a learning tool. It fosters both individual and team development in order to review current research in the relationships between physical activity, learning, and curriculum planning and infuse wellness into the classroom culture.
HBHMI equips educators with the skills and knowledge to implement brain-based learning with their student and provides a forum for discussion and collaboration among like-minded educators. The institute also strives to develop a multidisciplinary school-based team that will implement exercise and learning initiatives in their schools as well as assist in the development of an action plan for each school building.
So, whether you choose to come solo or with a team of co-workers, there is plenty for everyone to take away! Please note you do not have to be a health or physical education teacher to attend this institute. Teachers of all areas and grade levels are welcome as well as school administration members.
Pre-registration is required by July 3. View the registration guide for the two-day agenda, a breakdown of each day’s activities, presenter biographies and so much more!
