Today is National Just Because Day! It may sound silly, but don't write this one off as just another bizzare "national" observance. Today, try to do things that are not asked, required or expected of you...just because. Here's a couple of ways you can celebrate!
Spread kindess: Hold the door open for the person behind you, smile and say hello to someone as you walk by them, offer a helping hand, reach out to someone in need, give a compliment, etc. Whatever you choose to do, a small act of kindess can go along way. It doesn't take much to show others you care. Strive to do something for someone each day not because you should, but because you want to make their day better. Be the reason someone smiles today!
Take the time: To do what you want to do! Read the book that's been calling your name, go for a run, tell your loved ones how much they mean to you, re-connect with long lost friends, challenge yourself. Take a break from your hectic routine and do something you wouldn't normally do for yourself. Enjoy the moment and remember to pause to take it all in.
However you chose to spend the day, do something out of the ordinary! In life, there is no better reason then just because.
