While Christmas has come and gone in the blink of an eye, there's always that period of downtime before it's time to celebrate again and ring in the new year. For some, the days between Christmas and New Year's means enjoying breaks from school or work while others head back to the office for a shortened work week.
Either way, the limbo between the two occasions may be hard to navigate as you attempt to adjust to the post/pre holiday vortex. Whether you're at home on the couch trying to figure out what to do with yourself, or re-focusing and prioritizing back at your desk, there are plenty of healthy things you can do to help your mind and body adjust to the lapse between celebrations.
If you are off, keep moving and try to cross items off your post-holiday to-do list as your regularly scheduled program (aka your normal daily routine) will be right around the corner. For those already back to those routines, even for a few short days, you've got a headstart in prepping for the new year. Take a stab at decluttering your desk like you've been meaning to do for months, get a jumpstart on your next project and just enjoy the kind of quiet time in the office that helps boost productivity.
The space between Christmas and New Year's doesn't have to be dull, make the most of it and roll with the punches!
