A week from today is Cyber Monday. Following Black Friday, Cyber Monday is yet another day dedicated to holiday shopping and synonymous with great deals.
So, if you've taken off to stay in your PJ's for a relaxing day of online shopping, here's a few ways to help make your day as healthy as possible!
Look away: No matter how great the deals are, don't sit by the computer all day staring at the screen. You may end up with a massive headache, strained eyes, or tense shoulders and back from sitting in the same position all day. Your eyes need to rest, so even if it's just a minute or two, look away from your computer screen and pick up a book or do any other non-digital activity (yes, this means no phone too!) in order to give your eyes a break.
Get up from the couch: Or bed--wherever you've designated your home shopping headquarters! Instead, try to take small breaks in between browsing to get your blood pumping and your energy back up. Try these exercises while in front of the computer or watching TV to help your body break out of those sedentary habits.
Eat something nutritious: Resist the urge to order takeout for fear of missing that must-have deal, and instead reach for some fresh fruits and veggies to snack on. Also, if you eat while distracted as you're surfing the web, you may eat more than you orginally intended.
