This Easter Sunday, skip the candy and give your loved ones healthy Easter baskets! Now we know what you might be thinking, healthy= no fun/not kid friendly--wrong! Just because it's healthy, doesn't mean it can't be fun and include yummy goodies for the kids!
Here are a few ideas to get you started:
No Candy: Instead of the sugar rush that comes with all of the candy and junk food, opt for healthier food options like the Easter Bunny's favorite snack--carrots! You could also include their favorite fruit, dried or dipped in a bit of chocolate to satisfy that sweet tooth, crackers, peanut butter or veggies cut in fun shapes and sizes.
Fun Stuff: You can even skip altogether and instead fill your Easter baskets with physical activity enticing options like sidewalk chalk, bubbles, jump rope, sports equipment, pastel colored fitness gear, gift cards to local sporting goods, etc. There are so many no-food options available when you think about it!
