Lace up your running shoes in preparation for two upcoming summer races you don’t want to miss!
First up is Pottstown Athletic Club/CrossFit Pottstown’s 4th Annual Summer River Run, June 27th, beginning at 8 a.m. The run is roughly a 5K with six fitness stations along the way. It is a FREE family friendly event where all stations are scalable to anyone’s capability. The race will be followed by breakfast at The Brick House (the race is free, but breakfast is on you).
Then in July is the first Pottstown Half Marathon (July 11th) presented by Pottstown Memorial Medical Center with the Sly Fox Track Club. But hurry, online registration (currently $60 for Sly Fox Track members and $70 for non-members) ends July 1st. To register online, click here or download the race application. If you decide to wait and register on race day, the fee is $80. The race starts at 7 a.m., to beat the heat, on Industrial Parkway adjacent to Riverfront Park in Pottstown, Pa.
Race Expo and packet pickup will take place the night before the race, Friday July 10, from 3– 7pm at Sly Fox Brewery as well as an all-you-can pasta dinner from 4 – 8 p.m. (pay ahead with race application linked above or night of. Cost is $12 either way).
Tech-shirts will be provided with all registrations as well as medals for all finishers. The post-race party awards ceremony will begin at noon at Sly Fox Brewery.
