How You Can Make An Impact:

We need your help to meet the extraordinary need in communities we serve. Donations may be made online through our Network for Good giving page. Checks should be payable to Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation and mailed to 152 East High Street, Suite 500, Pottstown, PA 19464 using this donation form. Please include COVID-19 Fund in the memo line. Any amount is appreciated, and every dollar counts towards making sure our community bounces back stronger than ever.

When contributing to the fund, donors will have the option of donating towards causes they care about the most, including: social safety net organizations, food insecurity, economic development, and education. The future remains uncertain, but by joining us in this effort, together we can address the needs of our community as they arise.

If you would like to explore other ways to meet the needs of the Tri-County community, contact us to discuss how we can use the expertise of our program officers to assist you in finding ways to help anonymously. For questions about giving, or to set up a donor advised fund, a stock gift, or an endowment, contact Sheri Waldman at swaldman@pottstownfoundation.org.

How To Apply For A Grant:

Apply online for a grant through the COVID-19 Relief and Recovery Fund. We are focusing our efforts on grants that will have an immediate impact on the community.  Priorities include nonprofits serving the most vulnerable in our community, those with increased service demand, and those providing basic necessities.

Small businesses with fewer than five employees and less than $250,000 per year in revenue as well as those committed to community revitalization and employing local residents will be given precedence.

The COVID-19 Organizational Capacity & Service Implementation (COCSI) Survey for Executive Directors will gather information about the needs of nonprofit organizations within the PAHWF service area. Results from this survey will assist in the prioritization of future initiatives, funding opportunities and collaborations.

FAQs

Get quick, helpful answers to important questions you may have about the Foundation.

I want to help. Can I give to the fund?

I want to help. Can I give to the fund? Yes. We are all in this together. It will take all of us doing our part—from practicing good hygiene, calling to check in on our elderly neighbors—to get through this stronger. We will also need resources. If you want to donate please go to the Foundation's Network for Good page, where you will find a button to donate.

Should I give to this fund instead of making donations to nonprofits? The fund will assist in efforts to help channel resources that will have the highest impact and to facilitate coordination among entities. However, it was not created to replace other forms of giving, and we encourage you to connect with and give directly to any local agency to which you are drawn. This is a critical time for many nonprofits and the broader business community.  Please continue to give to and patronize the organizations you regularly support and those that need your help at this critical time.

Among foundations in the United States, health accounts for the largest share of grant dollars awarded ($5.9 billion in 2011) according to the Foundation Center. This is followed by education ($5.2 billion); human services ($3.7 billion), and arts and culture ($2.3 billion).

Is my contribution tax deductible?

Yes, all contributions to the fund are tax deductible.
