In honor of St. Patrick's Day tomorrow, embrace the green! I don't mean shamrocks and green-colored clothing, but doing things that will improve your overall health and wellness, and help the planet too!
Here are some ideas to consider:
Green Smoothie: Skip the shamrock shake and instead try a green smoothie! It's a yummy way to incorporate those veggies you may not particulary like to eat solo and satisfy your sweet tooth at the same time. Delicious and great for your body! I know I'll be grabbing one tomorrow. Cheers!
Bike/Walk to Work: Make an effort to put the keys down for a day and walk and/or bike, if possible, to where you need to go. Not only will you be reducing your carbon footprint, but you'll get a great workout in the process. Not to mention the fresh air and scenery! If walking or biking to work is not an option for you, just make an effort to get outside more throughout the week. You'll be happy you did!
Recycle: Instead of throwing everything into the garbage can, dispose of it in the proper receptacles and recycle your plastic, glass and paper products! Use one less napkin, pick up any litter you come across, etc. It's the little things here and there that add up in keeping our planet clean.
