It's a big weekend for Philadelphia sports fan as the Eagles prepare for the NFC Championship game on Sunday! As you cheer on the birds, keep these game day tips in mind whether tailgating at the Linc or watching from home!
E- Eat green! The color of the day is green, so start your day off with your favorite green smoothie and also try to incorporate veggies and fruits into your football Sunday spread! Include your favorite produce for a fresh, crunchy and delicious snack.
A- Active all the way! Get up and dance like an Eagle who just scored a touchdown! Move around during commercial breaks and use all that game day energy and hype to keep moving and help you to not be so sedentary. You'll most likely be jumping up and down the majority of the game anyway, so why not get a head start?
G- Grub Responsibly! Your favorite game dips and snacks will also be in attendance on Sunday, but remember to stop eating when you're full. Oftentimes, all the excitement of the day plus watching the game on TV can cause you to mindlessly eat and overindulge. However, try to keep your snacking in check and focus on the game.
L- Live in the moment! Put down your phone, as you'll get plenty of screen time watching the game, so no need for more. This is an exciting time, so enjoy and take it all in!
E- Early bird gets the worm! Rise early and get a good workout in to start off your day. You'll have plenty of time to relax later, but first, set the tone for the day and sweat it out. Go for a walk, a run, take a spin class or do whatever works for you. Get the blood flowing!
S- Stand it up! While you may already be pacing back and forth in anticipation, take any chance you can to GET UP! Whether that's up off the couch at home or leaping up from your seat at the stadium to cheer. Try to get moving as much as you can throughout the game.
