Pottstown, Pa- December 21, 2015 - The Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation is collaborating with The Nonprofit Center at La Salle University to offer a series of programs to strengthen the leaders of Greater Pottstown area nonprofit organizations to make them better able to survive in an increasingly competitive environment.
The program, which is open to all nonprofits serving the tri-county region surrounding Pottstown, includes a think tank program for nonprofit executive directors to develop a peer support and problem-solving cohort, specialized leadership training for nonprofit board members and an educational series in key nonprofit skills, including fundraising, financial management, marketing, program planning and website design.
“As a Foundation dedicated to improving the health of its community, we are delighted to continue to partner with The Nonprofit Center to bring these valuable programs to Pottstown area organizations,” said Foundation President Dave Kraybill. “We believe so strongly in the importance of strengthening our local leaders that we are subsidizing the entire cost of the programs, with the exception of a small administrative fee which represents the participants’ commitment to their professional growth,” he added.
All of the programs, which begin in February, will be presented at the Foundation’s offices at 152 East High Street, Suite 500, Pottstown, by expert instructors and consultants from The Nonprofit Center. United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern NJ is providing additional funding for the program.
Deadline for registration is January 22, 2016. To register, or for information about these leadership and professional development opportunities for Pottstown area nonprofit organizations, call The Nonprofit Center at La Salle University at 215-991-3676. Detailed descriptions of each component of this pilot program are available on the Foundation’s website.
