Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Fuondation Announces New Appointments and Changes to Board of Directors and Executive Committee

September 24, 2008, Pottstown, PA – The Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation is pleased to announce four, three-year appointments to its Board of Directors. “These four individuals will bring specific talents and experiences to our board,” comments David Kraybill, Executive Director of the Foundation. “Their willingness to serve the Foundation and their community is to be commended. We ask that our Directors serve not only on the Board, but on two sub-committees as well. We value their opinions and expertise and appreciate their time commitment in assisting us with moving the dial toward improved health and wellness in our community.”

The four new Directors are Nancy S. Threlfall, owner Nancy S. Threlfall Marketing & Development, Worchester, PA, who serves as the Chair of the Communications Committee in addition to being a member of the Strategic Planning Committee; Jonathan C. Corson, Assistant Finishing Operator Arkema Chemicals, Birdsboro, PA, who serves on the Grants and Communications Committees; Arthur L. Green, former teacher and retiree of the Pennsylvania State Education Association, West Chester, PA, who serves on the Grants Committee; and Edward Bardowski, Director of Client Service, Institutional Group, Oaks, PA, who serves on the Finance Committee.

Other changes to the Board include D. Scott Detar, CPA and Partner with Maillie Falconiero & Co., LLP, who is stepping down as Board Treasurer, a position he has held for five years. He will continue to serve on the Board of Directors as a “Member at Large” of the Executive Committee, while continuing to serve on the Finance Committee. Robert W. Boyce will assume the position of Treasurer for the Foundation and Chair the Finance Committee. Boyce, a retired U.S. Naval officer and teacher at Malvern Prep, has been on the Foundation’s Board for five years. He serves on the Grants Committee, and is former chair of the Communications Committee. Kenn Picardi, Esq. with Yergey Daylor Allebach Scheffey Picardi, and a Board member since 2005, has assumed the role of Secretary of the Executive Committee. Doug Yocom, President and CEO of Precision Medical Products has resigned from the Board. He served on the board since 2005.
